See some of the creative work our students do. Our students choose activities and topics that interest them. Our teachers help them to communicate their ideas more accurately and clearly. Which activities will you do?

Online Presentations

Presentations with audio, images and text

Presentations are a flexible and enjoyable way for students to present their ideas. They have complete freedom with the topic and the style. The student’s voice can be added to the presentation.

Writing Articles for Wikipedia

Wikipedia Article by Alexei

Contributing to Wikipedia

Students write either whole articles or perhaps just a couple of paragraphs for the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. Students share their knowledge while learning how to write precisely and professionally.

New vocabulary and grammar when needed

Students prepare these activities for homework and then they review and improve it with their teacher during the lesson. The teacher sees where the student needs further help – perhaps with a certain aspect of grammar or with the pronunciation of a certain sound. Lessons then concentrate on improving these aspects.

Reviews for Lonely Planet

Lonely Planet Review

Reviewing Restaurants for Lonely Planet

Students sometimes write reviews of restaurants, hotels or tourist sights that they know. Reviews allow students to practice expressing their opinions. Our students contribute to the travel community while improving their foreign language skills.

Exploring Virtual Worlds

Tours in Second Life

Some of our students visit 3D virtual words such as Second Life to meet others or to be immersed in new surroundings. Students can give guided (virtual) tours of famous places or explore locations to practice new vocabulary.

Focus on the Student

Both beginners and advanced students learn to express themselves more accurately and with a wider vocabulary. Our private language classes naturally focus on what the student can do and then help them advance further.

Twitter and Blogs

Microblogging and Blogging

Students practice a wide range of styles with blogs and twitter. Twitter is conversational and therefore less formal, but it is very concise. Whereas blogs offer more freedom with style and content than writing for Wikipedia.

Recording MP3s

Students focus on their pronunciation when recording their speaking. MP3s are easy to record and allow students to share their thoughts. Podcasts are usually written as texts first and then improved with the teacher in class.

Motivating Lessons

Our students are motivated to study because they choose what to do. So our lessons combine the student’s linguistic needs with their personal interests. No wonder it is both effective and fun.
