At Avatar Languages we have started to encourage students to add to Wikipedia articles. We have chosen Simple English Wikipedia, which is a version of the online encyclopaedia that is written in a simplified style of English for non-native speakers.

There were 350 visitors from 28 countries (native speakers of 29 languages) who attended SLanguages 2008 last weekend. Avatar Languages isn’t the only school to use Google Docs - The Guardian newspaper reports today that many UK schools and universities are starting to use free services from Google to enable virtual learning.
